THE STORY

I called Paz telling him that I was having a creative dilemma!

Usually it’s him calling me for advice, but at this moment I couldn’t get it out and was about to explode from my thoughts. His advice was simple yet profound. He said, "Bro! Just grab your nearest canvas and paint exactly how you think it looks as you feel right now!”

It struck me how much I hinder my own creativity solely through overthinking. And that's just what was laid on that canvas that day!

In that pivotal moment, Paz transcended his role as my protege; he became both mentor and creative challenger, giving even more creative structure to our dynamic relationship.
